Current coverage is WA via official government feed and QLD via fuelpricesqld partner feed. NSW, ACT and VIC will follow as their partner-feed keys are issued.
AutoBrain's Petrol Price Map shows current petrol and diesel prices at service stations around you, mapped and sortable by distance and price. Prices come from the official state fuel-price feeds AutoBrain is wired into — accurate and kept current.
It sits alongside your existing fuel log, so you can compare what you're paying against the best nearby price and log the cheapest fill-up in a tap.
Live in two states — official government feed + partner feed:
Western Australia via FuelWatch (DEMIRS).
Queensland via the fuelpricesqld partner feed.
Three more states will follow once their partner-feed keys are issued:
New South Wales — partner-feed key pending.
Australian Capital Territory — partner-feed key pending.
Victoria via Servo Saver — partner-feed key pending.
SA, TAS and NT don't have a free official fuel-price feed. Full national coverage needs a paid aggregator (PetrolSpy / Informed Sources / MotorMouth — roughly A$250+ per month). We haven't shipped that yet — flagging it as a board cost decision, not an engineering risk. Day-one free feeds cover the bulk of Australia's population.
The Petrol Price Map pulls live prices from the official state fuel-price feeds — WA FuelWatch, (soon) QLD Fuel Prices and VIC Servo Saver — the same sources the states publish. As a paid data feature, coverage expands as more feeds are wired in.
Switch between Map and List at any time. The map shows stations pinned with their current prices; the list sorts by distance or price for quick comparison. Both views read the same cached snapshot, so there's nothing to wait for.
The Petrol Price Map is a paid data feature on hosted plans. If you self-host AutoBrain, live fuel prices are opt-in: you acquire and configure your own fuel-price data provider API key (an X-API-Key-style key for your chosen provider) in your environment. Without a key, the feature returns a clean "provider not configured" message rather than live or estimated data — every other AutoBrain feature keeps working unchanged.
Servo Spy lets you build a watchlist of your favourite servos and the fuel types you actually run, then set a custom % move against the previous day. Servo Spy tracks each station's price versus the day before and notifies you the moment it rises or drops past your threshold — reusing AutoBrain's existing notification menu indication settings (up/down arrows and colours). Star the stations and fuel types you care about, and let the price moves come to you.
