Started by a car guy who was tired of losing service receipts and forgetting what was due next.
Hi, I'm Nathan
I've worked in IT for 8 years, but most weekends you'll find me under the bonnet of one of my cars. I built AutoBrain because I was juggling maintenance records, fuel receipts and part numbers across too many apps and sticky notes — and I wanted something that actually thinks like a car person, not a spreadsheet.
Everything in AutoBrain is stuff I genuinely needed for my own vehicles. If it doesn't save me time or money on the driveway, it doesn't get built.
The cars behind the app
My daily driver is a Toyota Crown — the TCRWN plates in the demo data are a personal touch.
I'm also restoring a Subaru Brumby, which means I spend a lot of time hunting parts, tracking what's been done and planning the next weekend's work. AutoBrain tracks all of it — services, fuel, mods, parts and logbook — the same things I do myself.

AutoBrain is open source (MIT) — self-host it free forever, or use the hosted plans and I'll run it for you.
