- Both. A complete profile export/import means you can move between them — or move somewhere else entirely — whenever you like.
No lock-in, by design
A vehicle's maintenance history is years of accumulated work. You shouldn't need a court order to get it back out. AutoBrain's export gives you a full, portable copy of your profile in one file, and the import path brings it back just as easily — so the decision to stay or go is always yours.
What "open" actually means here
The source is MIT-licensed — you can read it, run it, and modify it. The AI features work with the data you choose to send, or not at all on a fully local setup. You get the confidence of a product you can inspect, with the convenience of a hosted service if you'd rather not run it.
